Our History

Our founder and current President, Mr. Raul Zayas, has over 21 years of experience in delivering and supporting IT infrastructure solutions in various environments. As a dual degreed graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Finance he was hired by IBM in 2000 as a college hire. At IBM he held various positions which included Level 3 / 4 System Administrator, Windows Architect, and part of a specialized internal IBM Team that was responsible for participating in Service Management reviews within IBM’s Strategic Global Outsourcing division. After 15 years at IBM, he decided to open ZTek Solutions in Miami Lakes, FL where he remains the President and Chief Executive Officer to this day.

Our current Executive Vice President and Chief of Technical Consulting, Mr. Jake Betts, also has over 23 years of experience in various environments. His deep industry experience began at Micron Technology where he specialized in DRAM design and manufacture, leading to a successful career at IBM where those early hardware sector skills turned into advanced IT relationship’s as an IBM Systems Administrator, Product and Systems manager, IT deployment Project Manager and culminating with a capstone role as an IT Project Executive. Mr. Betts holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration, in General Management. Mr. Betts joined ZTek in September of 2015 in Miami Lakes, FL and is currently spearheading our new market growth opportunity in Charlotte, NC.
